About
Are you all right? is a night sky you can put something down in. Write what you are carrying, let it go as a balloon, and somewhere in the world a stranger may read it and answer.
What this is
It isn't a social network. There are no accounts, no followers, no profile to keep up. You open the sky, you read a few balloons drifting past, and if one of them sounds like you, you say something kind to the person who wrote it.
Two things can be released into the sky: a whisper — the thing that is heavy right now — and a wish — the thing you are hoping for. Both drift. Both can be answered.
Why it exists
Most people have something they can't say to the people closest to them. Not because it's shameful, but because saying it out loud would change how someone looks at them. A stranger carries none of that weight. They can hear it clean, answer it kindly, and drift on.
Love never truly disappears.
That's the belief the whole place is built on. Grief, longing, regret, the person you never got to say goodbye to — none of it vanishes. It just needs somewhere to go.
How it works
- No account, ever. You never give us a name, an email, or a phone number.
- Pick a name for yourself (any name — it doesn't have to be yours). Later you can type it back in to find the balloons you released.
- Everything you post is public. That's the point: it's meant to be found by someone. Don't write anything you wouldn't want read.
- Kindness is the rule, not a suggestion. Pain is welcome here. Harm is not. See the Community Principles.
- Nothing lasts forever. Whispers and replies are deleted automatically after a year.
Your stories stay private in the way that matters: we don't ask who you are, and we don't let search engines index what people write here. Only the pages you're reading now — About, Principles, Privacy, and the blog — are open to search. See Privacy.
Who made it
A small project, made and kept running by one person. There are no ads. If it ever helped you and you want to keep the sky lit, there's a small "keep this sky glowing" link inside the app — entirely optional, and nothing changes if you don't.
